Our client is seeking a motivated Storage Equipment Supervisor to join their team of engineers in Coventry.
In this role, you will coordinate a team of engineers, overseeing installations and maintenance projects within the industrial storage equipment industry. This position involves travelling to clients in the West Midlands area, and throughout the UK to various project locations.
Storage Equipment Supervisor Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all necessary job details, materials, equipment, and PPE are prepared before heading to the site.
- Organise and lead your team in executing tasks outlined in the job pack efficiently while adhering to relevant RAMS.
- Supervise on-site projects, assigning duties based on each engineer's skill level and knowledge.
- Monitor project progress, adherence to schedules, and the quality of work.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with PPE and equipment requirements.
- Maintain clear communication with site contacts and address variations in work promptly.
- Complete all required paperwork, including customer signatures and material returns.
- Provide on-site training to team members and conduct regular toolbox talks.
- Ensure proper maintenance of company tools and equipment.
- Uphold a customer-centric approach throughout all duties.
Storage Equipment Supervisor Requirements
- Strong educational background with a history of ongoing professional development.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills for team supervision and goal achievement.
- Outstanding communication and engagement abilities.
- Knowledge of racking industry products, installation techniques, and construction basics.
- Familiarity with H&S regulations relevant to the industrial storage equipment industry, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Proactive and adaptable attitude with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Storage Equipment Supervisor Benefits
- Salary range: £24 - £30K (based on skills and experience).
