Head of Sales Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture a robust sales pipeline.
- Own high-value client leads, ensuring their progression through the sales cycle and nurturing long-term relationships.
- Manage, retain, and optimise customer accounts through efficient processes and rapid response times.
- Lead and mentor your team, enhancing their problem-solving, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Collaborate with project delivery to ensure on-time, within-budget project completion.
- Oversee sales strategies, planning, tendering, and budget delivery.
- Maintain a 75% conversion rate and follow up on quotes within 48 hours.
- Uphold safety standards, manage documentation, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance.
- Foster innovation, collaborate across teams and integrate new services.
- Cultivate a high-performance, positive work environment.
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to achieve top-line and GM growth targets.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and client demands.
- Working alongside MD and deputising in their absence
Head of Sales Requirements
Essential:
- Racking sector experience.
- Proven sales leadership in a relevant sector.
- Extensive experience leading teams in customer-focused solutions.
- Storage Equipment/Racking technical knowledge.
- Knowledge of relevant H&S regulations.
- Understanding of industry products and installation techniques.
- Effective communication of technical information.
- Project/campaign planning experience.
Desirable:
- Management/coaching qualifications.
- Health and safety qualifications (e.g., SMSTS).
- Engineering or technical qualifications.
Head of Sales Aptitude and Attitude
- Agile and adaptable.
- Strong relationship builder and communicator.
- Influential and results-oriented.
- Effective under pressure and with multiple tasks.
- Delegation skills combined with a hands-on approach.

Head of Sales Additional Information
- Salary range: £70 - 80K (Plus 30% Salary Performance Bonus)

- Location: Hybrid with regular travel to customer sites and head office (Barnsley) for meetings
