​Our client, a family-run business founded over fifty years ago, is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead UK sales.

This is a remote/hybrid role, however, you will be required to visit offices in Milton Keynes on occasion.

Business Development Manager Role Overview:

Drive sales growth in the UK within the construction and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will report to the Sales Manager, establishing and expanding relationships with both new and existing accounts.

Business Development Manager Requirements:

- Proven sales leadership with 5+ years of experience.

- Fearless attitude and hunger for sales.

- Strong organisational and communication skills.

- Remote work capability, with a full clean UK driving license.

- Excellent IT skills.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

- Identify prospects using databases and market intelligence.

- Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through regular visits.

- Develop new business by understanding customer needs and recommending solutions.

- Provide product support, information, and guidance to customers.

- Stay updated on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

- Process new sales enquiries and manage price files.

- Deliver budgeted sales volumes, product mix, and margins.

- Assist in the design process with architects and local authorities.

- Demonstrate technical support competencies to reduce project risks.

- Manage tender processes to ensure financial viability.

- Prepare and submit regular sales reports.

- Negotiate terms with customers and internal management.

- Liaise with operations teams to track order progress.

- Represent the company at trade exhibitions and events.

- Actively contribute to team meetings, sharing best practices.
