Credit Controller

WSR is recruiting for a Credit Controller for our client based in Luton. 

Contract:                   Full time, Fixed term contract (12 months)

Hours of work:          8:30 am-5:00 pm. Monday – Friday (full-time, office-based role)

Salary:                       Up to 30k

The role of Credit Controller involves the following duties:

- Addressing customer inquiries on a B2B and B2C basis.

- Managing Sales Ledger processes and controls.

- Assessing credit risk for new customer accounts.

- Day-to-day oversight of customer accounts.

- Calculation and review of bad debt provisions.

- Reduction of overdue debtor balances.

- Investigation and resolution of queries.

 

Credit Controller Key Tasks:

- Taking full ownership of debt reduction.

- Forecasting cash collection.

 

Direct Reports:

- Managing 1 Direct Report.

 

Key Requirements for the Credit Controller Role:

- Proven working experience as a Senior Credit Controller.

- Experience in Retail/home improvement and/or Manufacturing, while ideal, is not essential.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Business Central would be advantageous but not essential.

- Excellent professional telephone manner.

- Willingness to travel to other locations as required.

- Ability to prioritise workload.

- Authorisation of credits and refunds.

- Conducting account reconciliations.

- Providing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to the Germany group controlling.

- Support the residential Credit Control function with day-to-day credit control tasks.
