Our client is looking for a driven, detail-focused Bid Manager with experience in the construction or door manufacturing sector to create commercially competitive bids that bring complex projects to life. Bid Manager Responsibilities:
- Create high-impact, professional bid documents that resonate with clients and stakeholders specifications.
- Coordinating with the estimating team and project consultants to update current quotations and negotiate optimal pricing with suppliers, ensuring the project remains competitively priced
- Advising on specification compliance and identifying opportunities for value engineering.
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and suppliers to gather all the right information.
- Reviewing tender documents to shape clear project briefs for the estimating team.
- Staying up to date with fire regulations, industry standards, and competitive products.
- Using CRM systems like Pipedrive and leveraging Excel to keep projects on track.
- Supporting Project Consultants with quote revisions and technical queries.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our systems and confidently highlight their advantages over competitors
Bid Manager Skills, Qualifications and Attributes:
- Previous experience in estimating, bid management, or related roles within the construction or fire door industry.
- Confidence interpreting architectural drawings and specification
- A deep understanding of fire compliance, industry regulations, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with CRM tools.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A solution-focused mindset with the flexibility to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
