Account Manager

WSR is recruiting for an Account Manager for our esteemed client in Coventry.

 

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic + Uncapped Commission (c. £8,000 OTE)

Location: Coventry (National client base)- Hybrid working – In office every Wednesday

We’re partnering with an established and expanding training provider that supports organisations across the UK with funded workforce development solutions. As their client base continues to grow, they are looking for a commercially minded Account Manager to take ownership of existing relationships and help drive long-term engagement.

 

Account Manager Opportunity Overview

This is not a cold sales role. It’s about stewardship, growth and strategic relationship management.

You’ll manage a portfolio of both long-standing and newly secured clients, acting as their trusted contact and ensuring they fully utilise the training and development services available to them. Your focus will be on retention, increased service adoption and growing learner numbers within each account.

You’ll work collaboratively with internal sales, delivery and compliance teams to ensure every client interaction is seamless and professional.

 

Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and developing a portfolio of client accounts introduced by the commercial team
  • Acting as the key relationship lead for your clients, building credibility and long-term trust
  • Identifying opportunities to expand engagement, increase enrolments and broaden service usage
  • Advising clients on funded training and apprenticeship options relevant to their workforce needs
  • Tracking account activity, engagement trends and performance metrics
  • Reinvigorating quieter accounts and uncovering new opportunities within existing partnerships
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and pipeline visibility

 

Account Manager Experience, Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience in account management, customer success, recruitment or consultative B2B sales
  • A natural relationship-builder who can develop trust at multiple stakeholder levels
  • Commercial awareness and an instinct for identifying growth opportunities
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively
  • Confidence in stakeholder engagement and professional communication
  • Experience within training, education, recruitment or professional services is advantageous
  • Ability to attend the Coventry office weekly
