Our client is a well-established 3PL company located in Milton Keynes offering comprehensive palletised distribution, general haulage and commercial storage.
They are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their traffic team. This role will have a high level of contact with customers, agency suppliers, drivers and work colleagues and therefore requires excellent communication skills. Working a 4 on 4 off shift 8pm - 8am.
Key Responsibilities
Working with the traffic team, the transport planner will encompass the management of our traction fleet on a daily basis, ensuring efficient, cost effective, legal and achievable planning.
Ensure compliance with current Tachograph and RTD legislation.
Key Requirements
Previous experience of planning
Be competent in all traffic office functions
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent UK geographical knowledge
Strong commercial awareness
