We are recruiting for a Supply Chain & Purchasing Lead/Manager based in Milton Keynes.
Hybrid working - 3 days onsite / 2 days home after training/probation.
The successful candidate will develop and manage the supply chain strategy to maximise value and ensure optimal business performance. Overseeing all purchasing activity within the business ensuring the right balance between service, quality and cost.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Development of procurement strategy and pricing mechanisms
Optioning and cost benefit analysis
Cost planning and forecasting
Implementation of purchase policy and procedures for core and non-core business
Management of tender processes
Negotiation and award of contracts
Oversight of subcontracting arrangements and procurement planning
Business case and stakeholder management support
Supplier relationship management through performance, regular reviews and metrics
Acting as an interface between vendors and other relevant departments on purchasing processes, new projects and activities
Engagement with manufacturers & distributors to understand product lifecycles, end- of-life and new releases
Requirements
Supply Chain experience
Although the role is based out of the Milton Keynes office, there will be a requirement to travel for supplier and customer meetings
Full, clean UK driving licence
Valid passport
