​We're recruiting for a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Manager based in Milton Keynes.

About the Company:

Our client provides a range of contemporary interior door sets, designed to simplify methods and processes that have historically been a headache for architects, developers, and contractors alike.  Their modern internal doors give architects, designers, and contractors the power to achieve the interior design and the space function that before now, they could only wish for.

Overall purpose:

The role is to ensure that our client’s Quality Systems, the Management of their Environmental Impact, and their Management of Health and Safety facilitate the growth and improve the profitability of the business by identifying and resolving non-conformances.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director the purpose of the role is to engage with teams to promote a positive quality and safety culture in the business and with external stakeholders

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and take ownership of pragmatic, efficient solutions to improve quality management and overcome issues that pose an obstruction to the safe and compliant operation of the business

  • Make site and supplier inspections to monitor, sample, and ensure compliance with the relevant legislative and quality requirements

  • Undertake deep-dive reviews on contracts and/or workstreams under your area of responsibility to identify areas of non-compliance, ensuring comprehensive corrective action planning

  • Ensure retention of the International Standards the company holds by developing and maintaining the Integrated Management Systems to drive improvements in the business

  • Provide Leadership for the function aligned with our client’s core values

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support teams to produce visual management tools to improve quality

  • Prepare and maintain RAMS for all activities

  • Liaise with all departments and assist managers in the development and implementation of training and skills requirements

  • Education to company staff laying out expectations and requirements with reference to SHEQ


  • ISO Management Systems Qualification

  • NEBOSH (desirable)

  • Full driving license (preferably clean)

  • Knowledge/use of root cause analysis tools, RCA, MSA, and lean techniques would be an advantage.

  • Experienced in ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environment Management and Occupational Health and Safety Management

Must be:

  • Practical and hands-on Team Player

  • Great communication and motivational skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Able to take ownership, be pragmatic and efficient when appropriate

  • Manufacturing experience from potentially any industry

  • Able to see the bigger picture and drive for improvements
