Our market leader client is looking for an experienced Sales Support Engineer to support them within the equipment sales team in the preparation of sales proposals, renders, questionnaires together handling of initial enquiries prior to allocation and bid management of large / complex opportunities that require co-ordination and to manage specific projects as required.

Responsibilities of a Sales Support Engineer will include:
Office based technical support to the Equipment Sales Business Managers
Preparation of customer proposals
Preparation of tender responses and requests for quotations
Handling of initial enquiries
Collation of information for proposals and tender responses
Assisting with proposal preparation / supporting tender submissions
Providing bid management function on large bids and tenders
Collation and issuance of "Approval" documentation
Pre-submission - validation of proposals in line with authority levels
Commercial support (terms and conditions including contract negotiations in conjunction with Commercial Manager)
C4C maintenance (assisting Business Managers with updating C4C/CRM platform)
Production of reports on levels of activity / business or ad-hoc as required
Producing data for reporting for Business Managers and Management
Co-ordinating and managing project handover’s between sales and project execution / service
Project management of selected projects
Essential Requirements of a Sales Support Engineer are:
Solid Engineering / Project Engineering Background
Useful to have Marine/Navy or Oil/Gas background
Read and Understand Technical Drawings
Good Communication Skills
Good Co-Ordination Skills
Proactive, organised, efficient
General understanding of Commercial Awareness
Ability to work in a team and on own reconnaissance
Clean driving licence
