As part of their dedication to quality assurance, we are seeking a skilled QA Inspector to join their team in Milton Keynes.

 

QA Inspector Job Responsibilities:

As a QA Inspector, your primary role will be to ensure the quality and compliance of our cushion assemblies and covers. Your responsibilities will include:

- Perform final inspection on cushion assemblies and covers:

- Conduct thorough inspections to verify dimensions, workmanship, and labelling requirements.

- Ensure that all parts are in compliance with drawing specifications and quality standards.

- Report any parts or materials that do not meet the required specifications by preparing Discrepant Material Reports (DMR).

- Inspect incoming materials:

- Examine incoming materials to ensure they match purchase orders and meet quality standards.

- Prepare Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) if any problems or discrepancies are found.

- Support production problem identification and resolution:

- Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems discovered during inspections.

- Assist in identifying and correcting these problems to maintain production efficiency and quality standards.

- Documentation and record keeping:

- Ensure that all paperwork remains with the corresponding parts/job for proper material identification and traceability.

- Scan various documents in Docuware, such as First Article Inspection Reports (FAI), Completed Work Orders, etc., as directed by the supervisor.

- Continuous improvement and adherence to standards:

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.

- Follow established policies and procedures in support of the Company's Quality and AS9100 Standards.

- Recognise the importance of your role in achieving the Company's Quality Objectives.

- Adhere to expected Company standards, including Quality/AS9100 initiatives, and environmental, health, and safety protocols.

- Collaboration and teamwork:

- Demonstrate good teamwork skills by working effectively with colleagues and other departments.

- Additional duties:

- Perform other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

QA Inspector Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and a focus on meeting project deadlines.

- Proficiency in reading and understanding drawings and written instructions.

- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal instructions effectively.

- Strong mathematical skills required for precise measurements and calculations.

- Physical ability to lift heavy parts as necessary.

- Excellent teaming and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

- Previous experience in a quality assurance role or similar field is preferred but not mandatory.
