Project Manager Role Responsibilities:
Technical Appraisal / Scope and Design of the Project
Project planning
Project Budget control including time management
Preparation of the commissioning plan and final completion
Correct resourcing of the installation and commissioning phases in accordance with site activities
Resolution of deliverable issues during the whole life of the project
Preparation and completion of project documentation to fulfil the contract requirements,
smooth running of the project and final handover to the client and the GEA Service organisation
Final handover and signoff of the project
Health and Safety Management on the project
Key Accountabilities
To manage all QHSE aspects of the project
Manage client’s expectations and provide solutions to ensure actions are tracked and dealt with promptly
To project manage the deliverables of the project from the point of sale to successful handover to the client
Ensure actions are tracked and dealt with promptly
Conduct a full appraisal of the project at the kick-off phase and advise any perceived risk to Management
Advise the business of best practice based on experience and industry standards
To drive the project to the agreed project programme and scope to allow our client to meet its commercial objectives and allow efficient planning of its resource
To communicate with the customer, their representatives and stake holders throughout the course of the project.
Taking ownership to close out issues and changes, seeking advice were necessary
To liaise with the required divisions within GEA and its suppliers to deliver the scope of the project
Ensure all changes within the project are fully documented
To produce on time project reports as requested by the Management team
Educational Background
Minimum HNC ideally a degree in a related discipline
Professional Knowledge and Experiences
Experience in leading multidiscipline engineering projects
Experience of managing multiple projects concurrently
Experience of leading technical projects from the design phase to conclusion
Other Skills & Competencies
Strong Organisational skills
Communication skills at all levels
Able to comfortably deliver presentations and training
