We are looking for a Product Support Engineer in Milton Keynes. 

Main Purpose of Job:

The role is to support existing products in production. Key activities include problem solving, engineering change control, and designing solutions for customer options.

Main Tasks of Job:

  • Support existing Mobile Elevating Work Platform products in production;

  • Solve engineering problems relating to production line assembly problems, and engineering change requests;

  • Design solutions for customer options on existing products and support the Production Engineering and Production departments to implement the solution;

  • Prepare CAD models in Creo 7;

  • Produce Engineering drawings to BS8888;

  • Update existing products to EN280, the Machinery’s Directive, and other countries’ standards;

  • Design experiments to validate machine design and performance considering through life use and likely failure modes; work with the company employees, customers, and end users to derive this information;

  • Design and conduct experiments to solve 8D problems as part of the company’s team-based problem solving methodology;

  • Support of customers and Sales Team with technical support.

  • Resolve customer problems from our customer feedback system. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role and the organisation’s overall business objectives, this may include training and mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline and have Engineering design experience in industry or have an Engineering HND and relevant experience in a relevant Engineering field;

  • An understanding of controls systems, structural design, hydraulics, packaging requirements and recognise the importance of good product quality;

  • Experience in support of vehicle testing and development;

  • Experience of mechanical or electrical CAD design packages, particularly Creo 7. (Formerly Pro/Engineer Wildfire 5), AutoCAD 2D, and Windchill PDMLink would be advantageous.

  • Experience in Off Road Vehicle design and practical experience with plant or agricultural equipment would be advantageous.

 Characteristics:
