We're recruiting for an Office Furniture Service Engineer based in Kempston.
Overview:
Responsible for the efficient response and resolution to all product fault / technical related issues and to inspect and repair items of furniture / electrical accessories to the very highest standards.
Responsibilities:
Inspection and assessment of reported product defects/damages and preparing reports with recommended actions to resolve.
To carry out repairs and/or replacement of components to damaged or defective products.
Maintaining accurate records of all works carried out and report on obvious fault trends.
Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete.
Keep all personal tools/equipment in good working order.
Perform preventive maintenance for assigned customers.
Loading and unloading of vehicles as required.
Delivery and Installation of samples / mock-ups as required.
Manage stock levels of parts and associated accessories.
Efficient use of all parts and materials.
Cleanliness of company van.
Undertake all daily role-specific routines.

Due to the changing nature of the business, your role profile will be continually updated to reflect those activities the business requires to be carried out. You will also from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities, and as directed by your immediate Leader.
Personal Qualities:
Understand the importance of and possess excellent customer service skills.
Skilled at inspecting and repairing furniture from a variety of brands (training will be given).
Proficient time management skills.
Quality-focused, with great attention to detail.

The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions.

Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge in all product brands (Training will be given)
Qualifications:
Trade qualification i.e., carpenter / electrician
Full driving license.
Forklift license (not essential).
