​​We're recruiting for an experienced National Purchasing Analyst based in Milton Keynes.

About the Role

To plan, forecast, and procure stock, while ensuring the highest level of stock availability is maintained and excess stocks are at a minimum.
Conduct analysis of sales patterns and inventory levels of existing stock to take key procurement decisions.
To ensure that stock is worked as hard as possible to create the highest return for the company.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Extensive experience in purchase order placement
• Evidence of forecasting skills and inventory interrogation
• Systemic Inventory Management experience
• Experience of successful supplier management
• Advanced PC and Excel skills
• Evidence of taking initiative and creating proactive improvements
• Pride in producing excellent KPI’s by taking ownership and responsibility
• Attention to detail
• Effective planner compatible with flexibility when required.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Manage new and existing suppliers to ensure they deliver products and services to meet the needs/requirements of the organisation.
Forecast, plan, and process purchase orders according to established company policies.
Analyse data to provide reviews, recommendations, and action stock profiles.
Effective and proactive life cycle planning.
Analysis of stock with the result of locating the correct stock in the correct place in a timely manner.
Capacity planning of incoming load build to ensure that purchase orders are planned to be delivered in a ‘flat’ methodology.
Period end target tracking.
Build purchase orders to ensure that all volume targets are reached.
Forecast and manage the stock levels at company and depot level to ensure that capacity is not overreached.
Effectively identify, manage, and reduce excess stocks.
Recommend and action stock cleanses.
Maintain and create reporting structure to provide full visibility of purchases made and on order. Details to be provided in value and quantity.
Provide recommendations of products to follow exit routes.
Ensure that all purchase orders and invoices are passed correctly with no discrepancies.
Responsible for system maintenance and housekeeping within the purchasing department.
Be flexible to cover other colleagues within the Purchasing department when required.
Be the expert in their field and with their suppliers’ products.
Ensure the order management systems are set to provide the most accurate data to provide optimum order planning.
Manage stock values, order books and overdue purchase orders.
Ensure proper documentation of purchase records as well as product inventory and deliveries.
Hold regular meetings with suppliers to create ways to improve KPI’s.
Liaise with internal departments to discuss and agree methods of improving procurement operations.
Work with Marketing to ensure that the correct products are being promoted in a streamlined manner.
