We have a great opportunity for a L & D Professional to join a leading, global manufacturing company based in Milton Keynes.

Job Purpose:

To define and deliver a learning and development strategy that meets and exceeds customer and organisational needs across the business. In conjunction with departmental managers, define, plan, deliver and monitor the training prospectus using the most effective interventions according to customer and organisational requirements. Drive knowledge improvement and competence of products, processes, standards, and wider industry application thereby raising customer engagement and organisational capability.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Design, create and promote training programmes capturing mandatory, regulatory, developmental, and organisational requirements

• Develop curriculum in collaboration with function leaders and consultation with HR Team, identifying business development needs and learning programmes.

• Create and deliver learning content across multiple media suitable for a variety of delivery methods with a focus on digital training solutions

• Create and maintain a learning framework, process’ and procedures for training access, delivery, and administration that enables contributions from a variety of sources to be captured and delivered in line with Brand values

• Collaborate with relevant teams to create a matrix of appropriate subject matter and knowledge levels and upskill customer-facing teams in particular

• Consult and cooperate with Central Training Team on Learning Management Creation Systems, shared content, and distribution

• Maintain up to date training records for all attendees feeding into relevant HR systems

• Set and maintain departmental policies and procedures with responsibility for quality, course bookings, customer service, and the general day-to-day running of the team

• Identify and liaise with external training providers and third parties to provide educational programmes of benefit to the organisation and/or assessment schemes that deliver value for customers.

• Work closely with the Commercial Team to establish successful customer onboarding and training programmes

• Influence and support line managers with creation of individual learning programmes and employee development plans

• Prepare and manage annual training budgets identifying opportunities for innovation and investment

• Recruit, train and manage the training team to ensure current and future organisational needs are met. Manage performance to maintain and improve standards.

• Assimilate new products and services and adapt, update, or create training material accordingly

• Actively seek verifiable customer feedback on team performance, training delivery and effective content implementing improvements and changes continuously.

• Ensure that activities are undertaken in accordance with company policies, in an ethical, effective, sustainable manner, using company resources efficiently

• Act as a Brand ambassador, always representing the UK Business in a professional manner.

Essential Skills:

• Holder of a recognised professional training qualification

• Up to date knowledge and experience of training and L&D best practice

• Experienced trainer and facilitator able to flex style to operate at all levels

• Strong data analysis including ROI and performance data to develop and improve L&D interventions

• Demonstrable training background and/or coaching skills and an ability to engage with people

• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment or technical, information

technology or personal development training background

• Experience of designing a range of training and assessment interventions.

• Knowledge of a range of training techniques and modern methods of delivery.

• Knowledge of recognised learning providers and training assessment bodies

• Enthusiastic confident presenter with excellent communication skills

• Experience of digital training tools, e-learning techniques, and delivery methods

• A passion for helping people learn and reach/exceed their potential.

• Experience of managing and developing a team.

• Able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively.

• Highly IT literate – minimum intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with other appropriate package skills

Desirable Skills:

• Experience and/or working knowledge of the fenestration industry

• Qualified assessor for recognised training provider

• Forward-thinking with an ability to act creatively and disrupt conventional views
