We're recruiting for a Junior Account Manager based in Manchester.

About the role:

Managing a portfolio of high-end office furniture accounts to achieve long-term success. Developing positive relationships and handling customers' needs. Generating new sales using existing and potential customer networks.

As well as maintaining an existing client list, you will also be expected to identify new markets, new partnerships, new ways to reach existing customers, or new product or service offerings to better meet the needs of existing customers.

Using a combination of customer face-to-face meetings, attending events and networking, cold calling, and responding to incoming leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead point of contact for all key client matters.

  • Developing a complete understanding of account needs.

  • Generate sales from the assigned account list.

  • Attending face-to-face meetings with clients.

  • Generate new leads by cold calling prospective customers.

  • Nurturing and developing relationships with both account lists and targeted customers.

  • Managing communications between clients and internal teams.

  • Conduct ZOOM meetings and showroom visits.

  • Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, management team.

  • Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines.

  • The ability to solve problems and make decisions. Remain calm and in control whilst under pressure.

  • Good time management skills/ability to prioritise without loss of focus.

  • Good communicator with the necessary skills to interact effectively with external and internal contacts.

  • To always demonstrate our client’s core principles and incorporate them into everything you do.

Technical Skills / Knowledge:

  • Good product knowledge (training will be given).

  • Good numerical and literacy skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

  • Good planning and organisational skills.

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft packages.

  • ERP/Salesforce knowledge would be an advantage but not essential

  • Understanding of Technical drawings
