Our client is looking for an Internal Sales Executive to be responsible for supporting the company’s expanding construction operations. You will join an established fire protection and fire engineering contractor company experiencing a substantial period of business growth.
You will be working closely with, and reporting to, the company’s Managing Director and will assist the senior management team in delivering construction activities, in the commercial and residential sectors, with the typical values of £50,000 to £1,000,000.
You will be provided with full guidance and assistance required to develop your sector-specific knowledge and skills in fire safety and fire protection, including industry specific product training.
The Internal Sales Executive is responsible for maintaining and developing a customer portfolio, with a keen focus on account management, in order to capitalise on customer relationships, follow up leads and maximise the potential for growth of the business.
N.B. No cold calling would be required, as the company has a substantial CRM database of current and former clients.

Key Responsibilities
Follow up on new enquiries and set up details in CRM system
Convert secured opportunities/ quotes to orders
Work with a defined list of customers to enhance the chance of winning
Provide where necessary technical assistance
Capacity to compare against competitors’ offerings
Define and contact new customers who have secured projects
Create commercial opinions on what will win the order
Support Estimating Managers where necessary including setting up meetings
Forecast orders & reporting to the management team
Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience
You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be an effective communicator. You should be able to demonstrate excellent written, telephony and face to face communication skills.
Demonstrable commercial awareness and negotiation skills
You must be highly self-motivated person – the role will requires working with a high degree of autonomy. You should be an enthusiastic, energetic, self-disciplined, and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work flexibly
Excellent spoken and written English
Ability to communicate confidently at all levels
Professional manner and self-presentation, especially on the phone
Good computer literacy skills are essential (CRM, MS Office and MS project management programs).
Experience within the construction sales sector is an advantage
Degree or equivalent (e.g. HND) is an advantage
Salary
Basic £26,000 - £28,000 per annum + uncapped bonus + pension scheme + non-contributory private medical scheme
