Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer Vacancy Available
Role Type: Ongoing Temp Contract
Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire
Pay Rate: £25 to £30 p/h
WSR are seeking an EC&I Engineer to join our clients team to design and implement electrical and pneumatic hardware controls packages for their process equipment for the pharmaceutical industry. This role covers all aspects of control system engineering and involves working in an ISO 9001 quality environment, complying with industry expectations for documentation and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities/Duties: Your duties will include, but will not be limited to –
Reviewing and establishing the project scope and deliverables
Hardware design specifications
Electrical and pneumatic design for the control system
Control loop diagrams
Equipment selection and equipment listing
Cable and tubing schedules
Electrical switchgear sizing and design
PLC input/output listings
Requesting procurement of the required control system elements
Provide support for equipment manufacture and testing
Provide support for the on-site commissioning and qualification of the equipment
Qualifications & Experience:
A background in control systems-related electrical and pneumatic hardware design for process/equipment control in the Life Sciences industry or a similar process control industry is beneficial.
Essential Experience:
HNC/D in Electrical Engineering
Five years plus relevant hardware design experience
Highly motivated, with excellent communication and organization skills.
Creative approach to problem solving, and can work well under pressure
Experience of Automation project delivery across the entire project lifecycle
Design engineering
Electrical switchgear / motor control design to EN60204
Process Instrumentation
Ex. Hazardous area control system design (i.e ATEX, IECEx, NEC)
Functional safety design (EN13849 / EN62061)
PromisE, E3 or EPlan electrical drawing packages, AutoCad
A good working knowledge of standard software products is assumed i.e. Microsoft Office
Advantageous Experience:
Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI’s,
Control system testing,
Commissioning and qualification activities and some understanding of Life Science industry regulatory requirements i.e. GAMP Ideally the applicant should possess the following:
