​We are looking for a positive, ambitious and confident Business Development Manager with a solid track record in new business Media Sales delivery. The successful candidate will need to be persuasive with great negotiation skills

Overview:

As BDM you will be responsible for maximising revenues and profit across the publishing output of the magazine - managing global sales, increasing market share and profitable expansion into new markets. You will be selling mainly to new business clients and the majority of approaches/calls will be outbound and overseas. As part of your role you will deliver the best in existing client and new business managements relations, follow up client enquiries, attend exhibitions and networking events, create advertising quotes and negotiate/close your own business deals.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain and service existing advertising clients to maximise revenue in both print and digital

  • Canvass for new business from competitive magazines to grow markets and increase revenue and market share in both print and digital

  • Maximise the number of quality calls, both incoming and outgoing to maximise selling opportunities

  • Remain consistently aware of clients’ circumstances, business/market trends, magazine changes, and budgets to remain informed and maintain a high level of professionalism

  • Utilise all available sales aids and marketing information to convert business leads across all magazine mediums
